Solar Installation
We installed a solar setup on our coach to give us flexibility when we travel. We wanted enough solar to run the whole coach, including our a/c unit. I did a lot of research, tried my best to figure everything out. Then I got smart!
I contacted Continuous Resources and Brent Stockdale asked me what I was looking for, the size of my coach, and my budget. With that information he tailored a system that not only met my expectations, it has exceeded it.
Our system is a 1,600 watt system, 30 amp service, with a 24 volt battery bank. It is tailored to meet our specific needs. We used Victron Components and six Battle Born LiFEPo4 batteries, and eight 200 watt Rich Solar solar panels.
My first inclination was to install the system myself. As the components began rolling in, I quickly realized that I was in waaaay over my head! I got hold of my buddy Joel Gonzalez at Desert RV Service in Brawley, CA. They rose to the occasion and did a super clean installation. Take a look at the pics and you will see what I mean.
