Scotrun RV Resort, June-July 2023
This is a Thousand Trails resort but it is also a Resort Parks International (RPI) resort. Since we were already booked at another Thousand Trails (TT) Campground for another major holiday (Memorial Day) (per TT rules you can only be booked at 1 at a time), we stayed through RPI this time. Normally you can’t do RPI either since it is an addition to our TT membership, but this campground was an exception. We did get a discount on a few days through RPI but mostly paid full price. I had been unaware about the holiday rule and was kind of stuck without options. I’m prepared for it from now on.
All that being said, it is a very nice campground. We were in site E80. We did not have sewer but they send a honey wagon to clean you out once a week for free.
They were having trouble with their water and told us when we checked in, that they recommended boiling to drink the water. Ok for showers etc., so we went and bought bottled water. They said it happens often. Then after we had been there for a few days they had to shut off their water because of trouble with their tower or something like that. We had water in the tank so we were fine.
Still with all that, we loved the campground. There is a little lake and lots of trees. Very beautiful. We would just come prepared in case they have the same trouble next time.
There were a bunch of chipmunks at this campground! So cute. Boss had such a blast. He almost got one! But of course I don’t let him have them.
