Our Interior RV Modifications
We have made quite a few upgrades to our coach in preparation for our full-time lifestyle.
We started with a Winnebago Vista 31KE gas coach.
Then we ditched the jacknife couch and the dinette for a second refrigerator a chest of drawers for storage, and a power reclining couch.
We also added another refrigerator to expand our food storage space.
The a/c in motorhomes are notoriously loud. We added a Wacko Products a/c silencer, and the difference it made is amazing!
We changed the shower head in the shower for one with a little more oomph, while still maintaining water savings. We chose an Oxygenics 92489 Fury RV shower head.
And, to be safe, we added a American Red Cross Emergency NOAA Weather Radio with USB Smartphone Charger, LED Flashlight & Red Beacon. That radio just about covers any emergencies we would have!
Stock from the factory, our coach had an outdated Pioneer stereo. We have replaced the factory stereo with a Boss Audio Systems BCP62-RC. The new stereo works with our existing rear camera, and also includes Apple CarPlay, which will allow us to use our phones as a nav system.
For comfort we added these Aegis Luxury Australian Sheepskin Superfit lowback seat covers to our driver’s and passenger seats.
When we took out our jacknife couch we installed a chest of drawers in its place. There was wasted space underneath, so we added these sliding racks underneath the chest. the plan is to keep sodas in them.
We added two MaxxAir vent covers to the exterior of the coach. These covers will allow us to keep the interior vents open, even if it is raining, or if we are on the move.
In a gas coach the motor is right up front between the front seats. That makes driving down the highway pretty loud at times, especially if you are climbing a hill. To help quiet the motor we added Dynamat to the underside of the engine cover. This has made quite a difference.
