John’s Water Ice, Philadelphia PA, June 2023

Yep. Water Ice! I had first had it when Critter and I went here to this same place. It is a like a soft serve sorbet. And if you get what they call a gilati, it is water ice and ice cream. I got strawberry water ice and vanilla ice cream, and Jerry got pineapple with vanilla. Very good!

Jerry asked the girl what the water ice was and after she explained, he said, so basically a snow cone. She said no, it’s not! And I agree. It’s not. And it’s not an icee or a slushy either. It really does seem like a soft served sorbet. Lots of flavor.

I can remember the first time I got a show cone down at the beach in CA and it had ice cream in the bottom. I loved it and never forgot it. But this is even way better. When I came with Critter, I just got a lemon water ice and was very impressed and wanted Jerry to experience it too, so we went.
