Shenandoah Crossing Resort, Gordonsville VA, Dec. 2022 and May 2023

Dec. 2022 – Oh my goodness. This is a gorgeous campground! It is a Coast to Coast campground. We are making sure we come back to this one!

And we did! In May 2023 – As I said before; Gorgeous! And with so much to do, including horseback riding!!! And a General Store and much more! Laundry was free!! We stayed 2 weeks this time.

We were in site #29 this time. The site right next to the one we were in last time (#30). I hadn’t noted what site we were in last time but after we got set in our site this time, I looked at the video of last time and saw where it was.
When you get there, they give you your site at the gate and then you go park in your site, then drive in your car up to the lodge (beautiful huge lodge on the lake and a hotel!) to check in. They first gave us #26 and we couldn’t level. So we went up to the lodge and when we got there they had already moved us because they saw that that probably wasn’t a good site for us. They then gave us site #33. We moved and still did not level! So we called and they gave us #29. Worked!! Phew!

All of that hassle trying to level was after a stressful travel. We had turned on a wrong road and ended up on a very rugged road for 5 miles (20 minutes!) going high up in the mountains, unable to turn around, very narrow road, just praying we ended up on the other side of it ok. We did! Phew! Double phew!!

The lodge is amazing! Indoor and outdoor pools, arcade, and more! And there is another pool at the RV section along with all the usual campground amenities.
