Chicken Bone Beach is a Beach that was a black only Beach when black people were segregated. Black families would come from all over to the beach and there would be concerts on the beach; famous people like Sammy Davis Junior. The families would bring their picnic lunch and after eating would bury the chicken bones in the sand. That’s how the beach got its nickname.
